Foreign language teachers are needed for future enrichment classes
We would like to offer a foreign language class during Winter quarter

🏃 Fun Run - 9/19, 9:45-10:55am
What is the Fun Run?
A great start to the school year on the Madrona School track!
Awards for: Best Spirit, Most Laps, Best Dressed, Goofiest, Loudest
Mission
- Kickoff the school year
- Enhance school spirit
- Build a sense of camaraderie among centers and the entire school
- Promote themes and ideals for the upcoming year
Activities
- Opening Ceremony - all centers/classes gather on the South field in their assigned locations
- Opening announcements by Leadership
- Centers are introduced to each other while being encouraged to dance/cheer.
- The Fun Run
- Centers/classes report to their assigned stations on the track for the start of the fun run
- Each station includes a ‘gate’ where students will pass through each lap so their lap will be counted
- Closing Ceremony - all centers return to their field stations for closing announcements and awards.
What should your student wear for the fun run? Check with your student’s teacher for theme information for their center.
This event can't happen without you!

🍽️ Restaurant Fundraiser
We need a volunteer to run our restaurant fundraisers - This is a fun, easy, fast way to help support our school
What would you do?
- A few times a year arrange benefit nights with restaurants such as Mod Pizza, Qdoba, etc
- Work with the MIT Communications Coordinator (that's me!) to publicize the events
- On those nights folks use a code when they buy to have the purchase benefit MIT
- MIT community comes out to eat and have fun while supporting our school
- We get a % of sales from the benefit nights

🧠 Madrona Tips & Tidbits
Classroom Coordinators
What are Classroom Coordinators? They serve as a liaison between teachers, team chairs, and caregivers in your center - They are a vital link between the classroom and families!
Coordinators communicate with care givers
- Center or school happenings where volunteers may or may not be needed
- School wide fundraising events
- Much more
Each teacher users their Coordinator differently, with some handling fieldtrips, book orders, and more.
The exact role of your Coordinator will vary, but the awesomeness will be the same.
