What a JOYous week for our staff! Thanks to our INCREDIBLE PTA and families for showering us with so many treats and thoughtful expressions of gratitude. We feel honored to serve such a wonderful community!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! This year’s theme is: “In Every Story, There’s Strength.” We celebrate the power of storytelling to fuel connection, understanding, and hope for those navigating their own mental health path. Each story shared is a testament to the possibility of recovery and the strength that lies within us all. On Friday, May 9th, students and staff are asked to WEAR GREEN to promote Mental Health Awareness. Here is the FLYER.

¡Mayo es el mes de la Concientización sobre la Salud Mental! El tema de este año es: "En cada historia, hay fuerza". Celebramos el poder de contar historias para fomentar la conexión, la comprensión y la esperanza para quienes atraviesan su propio camino hacia la salud mental. Cada historia compartida es un testimonio de la posibilidad de recuperación y la fuerza que todos llevamos dentro. Yearbooks are available for purchase! Order your child their memories for the year.

Looking to get involved in your child’s school, make a meaningful contribution to their educational environment, AND meet a bunch of fun people? PTA is the answer. We are looking for volunteers to join our PTA board for next year (2025-2026) and help create the magic only the PTA can bring to your child’s school. Fun events, after school clubs, teacher appreciation, field trips, and fundraising don’t happen by accident, it takes valuable individuals to help keep the engine of this machine running. We are excited to announce that we adopted a new form of school-to-home communication at Vista Unified School District called ParentSquare for the 2024-2025 school year. (This replaces Remind) This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection.

Our bell schedule has changed - please mark the new dismissal times. On Monday, dismissal is at 12:58 p.m. On Tuesday-Friday, dismissal is at 2:18 p.m.

• CAR RIDER LINE: Families picking up and dropping off, PLEASE help our line move efficiently by NOT getting out of your vehicles while still in the car line. Please train your children to buckle or train them to sit safely while you find a safe place to pull over and make the needed adjustments for the ride home. THANK YOU!
  
• At dismissal, please utilize both lanes for pickup and be prepared with your child's name, grade and teacher.

The purpose of our Student and Parent Handbook is to assist our students and families with important information regarding school policies, procedures, and agreements we have set us up for us to have an enjoyable, successful, and safe school year.
