Qualifications: Must have class dues paid (Junior Only), all fines and fees must be paid, and must have 90% attendance or higher. Check with the Office if you have attendance questions

Mark your calendars for the second annual 𝘾𝙏𝙀 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝘽𝙌 𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. This year's event is March 29. More details to come.
All proceeds will benefit HHS Welding, Houston R-1 FFA, Houston R-1 Building Trades, PRTC Health Science, Houston R-1 Graphic Arts & Digital Design, Houston MO FCCLA and FACS and HHS Business.
EMPLOYMENT/ INTERN OPPORTUNITY
Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association // Summer Internship
Intercounty Electric is looking to hire a summer intern at their facility to work in the member accounts department. The link below will provide a job description and more information. Applicants must be a current junior who will be a senior in the 2025-26 school year. The job duties will be end of May-early August and approximately 25-30 hours per week at $13.75 per hour. The selected student will be payrolled through Ozark Action in Houston.
2025-26 DISTRICT CALENDAR
The Board of Education approved the 2025-26 𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧 Tuesday night as presented by the CCC committee. Some of the highlights include:
School days begin at 7:55 a.m. and conclude at 3:15 p.m.
156 full days and two half days.
Classes begin Aug. 19
Nine professional development days.
Full week off for Thanksgiving.
Two week Christmas break.
One week spring break.
Graduation on May 9.

MVR is accepting referrals for its 2025 Summer Work Experience, which offers high school students with disabilities, in their last two years of school, the opportunity to participate in a paid work experience. Varsity Tutors is an innovative online learning platform that empowers students to achieve academic success by connecting them with knowledgeable tutors in a wide array of subjects. All Houston R-1 School District students, and parents, have access to this platform via their student's Clever account. This platform offers 24/7 on demand tutoring, live small group classes, ACT Prep classes, College & Career Readiness to assist with applications and scholarships, writing review and coaching, and self study and practice problems.
Students can search and sign up for any of these programs, free of charge, by logging into their Clever account and clicking on the Varsity Tutors app.

Houston Lady Tigers Basketball is seeded fifth in this week's 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 3 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩 10 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩. All games will be played at Cabool High School.
