Secondary Leadership Message
Week-At-A-Glance Nov.11th - Nov. 15th
Lead Courageously……..
Linda Cliatt-Wayman, author of Lead Fearlessly, Love Hard challenges Principals to have courage and vision for all students. She writes in Thinking About Your Leadership:
You, the leader, must possess courage in order to lead any turnaround effort. Nothing will happen without it. Everyone who wants to keep things the same will test you on both small and large scales.
At times, fear will step in. Keep thinking about your bottom line. You must be steadfast and willing to do what it takes to get there. You must be prepared to state your case for going the distance with your “stamp approval” plan. Having courage is very hard. Courage is where many leaders fall. Many times you will have to make unpopular decisions, but if they are needed to complete the mission you must make the call. Ultimately, winning or losing will be on you. You may as well lead strong. Winning takes a lot courage.
Examine Attentively: Your courage to lead.
Do you have the courage to do what it takes to lead?
