YouthTruth Survey
Student Feedback Improves School Culture, Safety, and Academics
Hello Families,
This is the fifth year Crook County School District has asked middle and high school students to participate in the national YouthTruth Survey. It's a comprehensive survey asking students to rate their school based on academic rigor, safety, cleanliness, relationships with teachers and peers, and whether they feel supported. Students also have the opportunity to identify the school's strengths and weaknesses and make suggestions.
Student Voice is essential to improving our schools and helps our principals, teachers, and staff know what's going well or what changes can be made to enhance the school experience. We hope your child will take the survey because their feedback is valued and makes a difference. In fact, our school leaders have created three new programs thanks to the surveys:
- Expansion of After-School Clubs
- Additional Mental Health Support (third counselor) at CCHS
- Student Listening Groups
You can find more information about the survey on our website, including links to the survey questions. We recognize that some families may want their children to skip the survey, so opt-out forms are also available. Please sign and email to your child's school or drop off at the front office.
YouthTruth Survey Dates:
- Wednesday, March 8th - Pioneer High School
- Tuesday, March 21st - Crook County Middle School
- Thursday, March 23rd - Crook County High School
Please don't hesitate to call us with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
CCMS, CCHS, and Pioneer Administrators
