Principal Message - Kanika A. Burks
Good Afternoon MCP: Lola Rowe North Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break with family and friends. In this season of gratitude, scholars returned to school filled with excitement from the break and energy to start the week strong. Scholars from elementary and middle school kicked off our Monday Morning Assembly by confidently reciting the Declaration of Excellence (DOE). I reminded the entire school community that the words of the DOE are meant for scholars, staff and families. The DOE is not just something we say, it is something that we live by every day.
The scholars also learned about 100% Fridays.
"100% Friday" is an innovative idea designed to promote a sense of college/university pride and accountability among scholars within the institution. The concept revolves around granting scholars the privilege of wearing their college/university gear with uniform bottoms on Fridays, contingent on the fulfillment of specific criteria. By implementing this initiative, the college/university aims to encourage students to maintain their academic commitment, uphold a high standard of behavior, and foster a deeper connection with their institution.
To be eligible for "100% Friday" privileges, scholars must meet the following criteria:
- Zero Full Withdrawals: Scholars should not have withdrawn from any courses during the current academic term. This criterion emphasizes the importance of staying committed to their academic journey and discourages dropout rates during the week.
- Zero Life's Work Warning or Withdrawals: Scholars should have a clean record in terms of their "Life's Work." This means they have not received any warnings or been involved in any withdrawal incidents related to academic integrity, ethics, or professional behavior during the week.
- Punctuality and Attendance: Scholars must attend all classes and be on time. Being on time with no tardiness reflects a commitment to academic responsibility and shows respect for both educators and fellow students for that week.
We can't wait to see the college/university pride on campus each Friday. Scholars who have earned 100% Fridays will be notified on Thursday afternoons.

We have tests at school available for your child; please email covid19@milwcollegeprep.com for more information.
Several other illnesses exhibit similar symptoms: RSV, influenza, strep throat, pink eye, hand foot and mouth, among others. Your child should stay home until symptoms resolve and they are fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication.
