Thursday, May 16 is the last day for Y Learning participants. This is also their end of year celebration.

Enrollment for Kindergarten is open. Please help us prepare by enrolling your upcoming Kindergarten early. Here is a link to the online process. All enrollments start online first.

The end of the 23-24 school year is fast approaching and with that comes assessments for all students. Please mark your calendars for upcoming dates.

May 1-May 24 End of Year Math and Reading Benchmarks (K-5th)

May 13-May 31 End of Year Summative Assessments (K-2nd)

May 30-June 12 End of Grade Testing (3rd-5th)

Thank you to Mr. Mendez and his company who are power washing our campus for us in sections!

Briarcliff is celebrating National Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day on Wednesday, May 15!

A group will start from Duck Donuts at 8:20am, and we’ll pick up regular walkers along their usual route before meeting staff near the school. Get all the details here!

Thank you for your support of the Literati Book Fair and our young readers! From our dedicated volunteers and generous sponsorship donors, to our gracious school staff and eager customers, we cannot thank you all enough for a fun, inclusive, and educational fair.

If you ordered from our online fair or have paid for backordered titles, your purchases will be delivered to classrooms in a few weeks.

• Tuesday, May 14 is Testing Coordinator Appreciation Day, and Friday, May 17 is Speech Pathologist Appreciation Day! Thank you to Tiffany Barber and Miranda McHugh for all of your hard work and support!

• Thank you for showering our teachers with love and appreciation this Teacher Appreciation Week – and a HUGE thank you to our wonderful staff for showing up for our students in so many ways, every day!

Spirit Rock registration for SUMMER dates will open this Monday, May 13, in our online store: https://briarcliff.memberhub.com/store. This is only for the weeks between the last week of school and when school starts back in late August.

Starting this summer, reservations last from Sunday morning to Wednesday afternoon, or from Wednesday afternoon to Sunday morning – not for the entire week. You are still welcome to book an entire week but will need to reserve both time slots for that week. Time slots are still $20 each.

Reservations for the 2024-25 school year will open on:

• August 4: 5th graders only (a new tradition that gives priority to students in their last year at BES)

• August 11: everyone else

Remember, it doesn't have to be your child’s birthday to reserve the rock!

Are you the organized one among your friends? Good at taking notes? Looking to get more involved with the Briarcliff community?

Please reach out to the PTA Board (briarcliffptanc@gmail.com) to volunteer for our Secretary role next year. No experience necessary, and you can be a family member or staff! Our outgoing Secretary will be available to guide you as you settle into the role.

We will be discussing this position, as well as other board nominations and committee chairs, briefly at our meeting on May 14.
