Green Meadow Policy about Cell Phones and Smart Watches
Please read this excerpt from the Green Meadow Handbook to answer any questions you may have about our cell phone or smart watch policy. If a student needs to call home they can do so from the main office or school nurses' office phone. A student's teacher or counselor may also allow a student to call home from a classroom phone.
Electronic Device Policy
Electronic articles including but not limited to cell phones, smart watches, recording devices, cameras, handheld games, gizmo gadgets etc. are prohibited. If brought to school, these items must remain in a student’s backpack during the day. These items will be confiscated and held in the office until a parent collects the item/s.
Please note that the security of these specific personal items, as well as personal items such as Pokemon or trading cards, or any well-loved item from home, cannot be guaranteed secure while at school. Please be sure to discuss with your child what they want to bring to school and make sure you are both comfortable with the decision knowing that the school is not responsible if the items are lost or taken.
