Dear Lockport City School District staff, students, and parents:
I hope this letter finds you well. I am pleased to announce that the 2024-2025 budget for our district has successfully passed. The unaudited results are 800 to 297. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our collective efforts to enhance educational standards and ensure the well-being of our students.
Furthermore, I am delighted to inform you that a second proposition, encompassing roof repairs for several of the district’s schools has also passed 860 to 235. This vital initiative reflects our commitment to providing safe and conducive learning environments for our students and staff.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders who supported these measures. Your dedication to our educational institutions is truly commendable.
In addition to these successes, I would like to introduce the newly appointed trustees who will be joining our board:
1. Nicole A. Zugelder
2. Gregory J. Newman
3. Michael P. Ferraro
The final vote for the trustees was as follows: Nicole A. Zugelder – 669 votes; Gregory J. Newman, Jr. – 591 votes; Michael P. Ferraro – 578 votes; Paul M. Patterson – 509 votes; and Kristina M. Schutt – 421 votes.
We are confident that the expertise and passion of all elected trustees will greatly contribute to the advancement of our district’s goals.
