Discipline Reminder
Do not send a student directly to AI.
Do not send a special education student to the Resource Room for behavior issues.
Teachers: What's Fair in Grading?
How would you have answered to get the job? How do you function in reality? What is the purpose of assessment in your classroom and how 'high stakes' are your assessments? How are students accountable for learning in your classroom? How are you accountable for their learning?
I hope you'll take some time to reflect on this topic and find the time to read and reflect upon the article below. I encourage you also to discuss these reflections with your department in order to build consistency and provide support for each other in this very contentious area of grading.

Marking Period 1 Grading Timeline
END OF GRADING PERIOD #1: NOVEMBER 5, 2018
November 3, 2018: Teachers may begin to post their GR1 grades
November 8, 2018 – 12 p.m.: All corrections to grading records must be completed
November 12, 2018: All report cards will be posted to ParentVUE and StudentVUE by 10:00am
November 16, 2018: Distribution of report cards to students
Teachers: Please complete this survey.

Tue, Nov 6: Election Day - No Students - PD Day -- Voting will be in the cafeteria. Please do not park down near the entrance near Baran's room. Soup Day! Bring a crockpot full of your favorite soup to share. Social Committee will provide rolls and paper/plastic products.
