Warriors' Weekly News

On March 7th, the orchestras performed in a combined concert with the orchestras of Socastee High School and Forestbrook Middle School. They played 2 pieces combined and one piece alone. It was a fabulous concert, and they represented our school well!

• Your child cannot ride a bus that they haven't been assigned to unless approved by the transportation office (smstransportation@horrycountyschools.net)
• Athletes needing transportation from SMS to SHS have to be added to the athletic bus by the SHS Athletic Department

The Socastee Middle School Counseling Department is scheduling 6th Grade Parent/Student Goal Setting Conferences now through April 11th, 2025. We invite you to participate in this meeting so that we can discuss and plan your child’s upcoming 7thh grade year and beyond.

To schedule appointments, we will be using Google Calendar so each parent will be able to choose a day, a time, and a format (ie. virtual, in person, conference call) that is convenient for you. Appointments typically take about 40 minutes.

ATTENTION 6th GRADE PARENTS

• All students entering 7th grade are required to have a Tdap Booster administered at age 10 or older.

PROVIDE UPDATED RECORD

• You MUST provide your child's school with a copy of their updated SC Certificate of Immunization or SC Exemption.

• Per SC Law, this document must be provided within 30 days of enrollment for your child to attend school. After 30 days, your child will not be allowed to remain in school (these are unlawful absences).

• Please contact your child's healthcare provider with questions regarding immunizations and medical records.
