I hope everyone is enjoying summer and gearing up to a new school year at William Tyler Page elementary school. Once again we will use our school website to provide you with Back-to-School information. (located on the school’s website) Please visit the website often as we are updating the website with important Page Elementary and MCPS District information to help Page families prepare for a successful start to the school year. If you need hard copies of any of our informational documents, you can visit the school’s main office to obtain them.

Teacher Reveal Cards

Again this year students will receive a postcard in the mail with a scratch off sticker revealing their 2024 - 2025 classroom teacher. Postcards will be mailed out the week of August 19th. If you do not receive a postcard we will have classroom lists during Open House, so families can find out the name of the teacher/s.

Kindergarten Switcheroo

Again this year kindergarten students and teachers will spend the first week of school getting to know each other before being placed in their final homeroom classroom. Families will receive a Kindergarten Switcheroo Postcard in the mail that will assign a Switcheroo Shape Group and teacher for the first week of school. Postcards will be mailed out the week of August 19th. During this week teachers get to meet all students; students get to meet all teachers. Students will also be observed and data is collected throughout the week to determine a class placement. Final classes are made and shared with families on Friday, August 30, 2024. Students will go to their assigned homeroom class on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024.

Open House Friday, August 23rd

Parents and students will be invited to an in-person Open House on Friday, August 23rd. Families with last names starting with the letters A-M will attend Open House from 1:00 - 1:45 PM and families with the last names starting with N - Z will attend the Open House 2:00 - 2:45 PM. During the Open House Page Penguins will “meet and greet” with Ms. Brown, Mrs. Walker, their new classroom teacher and other staff members.

FARMS applications must be completed each school year. New for the 2024 - 2025 school year students in Maryland who qualify for reduced-price meals will not be charged for meals. The application for FARMS is online and has been updated for the new school year. Apply using www.MySchoolApps.com; this is the preferred application method. You can also apply online using the QR code.

Join the PTA for a fun, “getting to know you” playdate for all incoming kindergarten students and their parent/guardian! The kids will be able to play on the playground, meet some new friends, and enjoy popsicles, while parents/guardians get the opportunity to meet one another and chat. PTA members will also be available to answer questions about William Tyler Page Elementary School. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact the following:
