Weekly Newsletter
Week of October 14th
Dear Families,
The information attached below regarding Fall iReady testing was sent earlier this week. Students will complete the Fall diagnostic assessments in Reading and Math. The Reading assessment will be on Tuesday, October 15th. The Math assessment will be on Thursday, October 17th. Friday, October 18th will be a make-up testing date. On all testing days, students should bring pencils and a silent reading book. Students are encouraged to get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast before school. Once all students complete the assessments, copies of the parent reports will be sent home.
Quarter 1 progress reports were sent via RenWeb on Wednesday, October 2nd. Students should continue to monitor RenWeb on a weekly basis in order to keep track of assignments and grades.
Quarter 1 ends on Friday, November 1st.
Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, November 7th. Students will be dismissed at 11:30am. There will be no after school clubs or activities that day. Please use the link below to sign up for conferences. You should sign up for one 15 minute time slot with each teacher you would like to conference with. If you have more than one student at the school, you may sign up for a second time slot. Click to sign up!
We ask parents to please adhere to the time slots they reserve so that we can accommodate every parent. All conferences will be held in person.
Our PowersAid Walk is scheduled for October 24th. Students will be dismissed at 11:45pm that day. Our students have been excited to raise funds for their school and the competition thus far has been intense! See Mrs. Brewitt’s correspondence on October 7th for more information.
Enjoy the long weekend!

Sports News
The season is winding down but our athletes are still playing and running hard.
Soccer: Traveling to Timberlane (44 Greenough Rd, Plaistow NH) on Wednesday, October 16. The bus will be going both ways. Our last regular season game will be at home on Friday, October 18 against Pelham. Then we wait for the playoffs……………
Cross-country: Done with all the regular meets. Time for the League Meet! The meet will be held at Nashua South High School. Coach O’Brian will have the details so athletes be sure you listen carefully to what he tells you! The Catholic School meet will be held at PMA on November 2. Because both of these meets are on the weekend, parents must provide transportation. Good luck and run fast!
Blazers
It’s almost blazer time! The blazer season officially begins on October 16th. Everyone needs to be wearing a blazer for Mass on that day. The school has a limited number of blazers to loan to students. The blazers will be in Mrs. Martineau’s room (216). If your student is interested in borrowing a blazer, have them come visit for a fitting. Again, limited supply, limited sizes so first come, first served.
Please note that all the blazers were packed in the summer and will all need to be dry-cleaned before the student can wear it. They all still have that “traveled” look.
Student Council News
Petitions were handed out today for all students wishing to be on the Council to present to their teachers for approval. If a student wishes to run for the Council, the petition must be signed by all their teachers and must be returned to their Social Studies teacher by October 17. NO LATE PETITIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
All who are running for a major position will have to give a short speech to the school on October 21st at a 1:00pm assembly in the gym. Parents are welcome. The students will then vote. The inauguration for our new Council will be on October 22 at 1:30 pm in the gym. Again, parents are welcome!
The first Student Council event is movie night on October 25, 6:00 to 9:00. For $10 students will get pizza, soda and ice cream, raffles and a night out with their friends If your student would like to attend, he/she can sign up with Mrs. Tarr and Mrs. Martineau and the $10 will be due October 24th.
