Good Morning E.L.M. Families,
Happy Friday! This will be our last Friday newsletter for the school year.
Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty with the weather forecast, our field trip to Grafton Lake had to be cancelled. We are instead planning a fun-filled day at school with lunch served by Pizza House and supported by our generous PTG. Students should bring a bathing suit to play in the sprinkler, towel, hat, change of clothes, water bottle and snack & drink. We also recommend applying sunscreen before school. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your understanding.
On Monday we will also celebrate our 6th grade class as they are promoted to middle school. We'd like to congratulate Audrina, Mikey, Kyra, Tyler, Bell, Emily, Whitney, & Braden. They are a wonderful group of young people and they will be missed by all of us at Emma Miller School. We also want to thank all of our 6th grade families who have shared their beautiful children with us these past 7-8 years. The support of your student and our school are greatly appreciated. Best wishes to all of you!

News, Updates & Reminders:
* Happy Father's day to all of our super, awesome dads! We hope you have a wonderful day!
* Today is the last day for the Aftercare program. Be on the lookout in late July or early August for a family survey regarding the Aftercare program for next year.
* Please be advised that school attendance is compulsory for 180 days, so students should be present at school even after they have been promoted or graduated. We will send all report cards home on the last day of school, and if students are not present, then they will be sent in the mail.
* Tuesday will be our last day of school with dismissal at 11:30am. We will not be serving lunch on this day as well.
* Gr. 6 Families - This is a friendly reminder that you will need to register/enroll your student at their new school for 7th grade, as this is not an automatic process. Savoy & Adams/Cheshire students can enroll at Hoosac Valley Middle School. All other students can enroll at their home district schools. If you wish to "school choice" your student to a school outside of your home district, then you will be asked to apply for school choice by that district and be approved before enrolling. We will transfer your student's records after we receive a "Transfer of Records" request that you will sign as part of the registration process. Please also be advised that if you school choice a student to a school outside of your home district, then families will be responsible for transportation.
