Summer is here! What a busy, but successful year it has been! Summer can be a time to relax and enjoy some sunshine. We also want to encourage you to keep practicing your educational skills through reading, math, music, drawing, exploring, and learning. Here are some exciting opportunities and resources available in Elyria to help keep those minds sharp:

• Elyria Public Library: Join the summer reading program to explore new books and participate in fun activities.
• Lorain County Metro Parks: Engage in educational programs and nature activities perfect for all ages.
• Elyria Arts Council: Take advantage of summer art classes and workshops to unleash your creativity.

As we start to plan next school year, please keep a look out for any communication about dates, schedules, and updates. We appreciate your support and working together as a team in your child's education.

Just a quick reminder that hoods may not be worn up during the school day.

The Student Code of Conduct offers guidance on attire. Clothing must be school appropriate and may not present a health or safety hazard or disrupt the educational environment. Pants and tops must fit properly and be in good repair. Crop tops are not permitted.

Additionally, footwear must be school appropriate--slippers and slipper socks are not permitted. Blankets also may not be worn in school.

Students may bring their cell phones to school but they must be turned off and put away during the day.

Parents may contact Westwood Office to reach their student during the school day.
