Dear Allen Eagle Community,

It is hard to believe we are almost through the month of October!! So many great things have been happening in our building!! Parent Teacher conferences are in progress, students are working hard, and everyday that I am moving around our building I amazed at the great things our Allen Eagles are doing. Our conference window ends on November 8th, thank you to everyone who has already signed up and met with your child's teacher. If you have not had a chance to meet with your child's teacher please take a moment and reach out to get a date on your calendar. These conferences are a great way to talk about how your child is doing both academically and social emotionally. We appreciate your partnership as we work to meet the needs of each of our students.

Do you love our school libraries? Are you interested in supporting our librarians, volunteering in our libraries, and/or promoting equity across the district?

Please join us for the first "Friends of the AAPS Libraries" meeting of the 2024-2025 school year! We will meet in person at the Huron High School library on Tuesday, October 22 from 6pm to 7pm.

In our kick-off meeting, we will:

• Learn about how the "Friends of the AAPS School Libraries" became the first such group in the nation!
• Understand our current library programs and the challenges they face
• Identify opportunities to volunteer, advocate, and raise money on behalf of our school libraries

There is no need to RSVP. Please join us if you are able. There is no Zoom option.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, October 22!

If you would like to Opt In to the Allen Directory, fill out this Google form by Oct 30th. Opting in means you are sharing your contact information with the school community. This contact information is used by other families to connect for play dates, birthday parties, etc. We ask that you fill in the form separately for each child so it is easier to search for what you need. Please note that your information will be shared with the Allen School community.

Fundraising is underway and we are up to $7,031 of our $12,000 goal! This is a great chance to ask family, friends and the community, to donate to their page towards their fun run. Every donation is appreciated and we are grateful for your generosity!
