Welcome to Our New Assistant Principal Ms. Patricia Flores

Hello Crusaders!

I am so honored to be named as your assistant principal. I have served your community and

have heard wonderful things about our school and look forward to meeting and growing with

all of you. I attended Pasodale Elementary as a child, then moved on to graduate from Ysleta

High School in 1992. I graduated from UTEP and earned my Bachelor’s degree in 2002. I like to

say that I signed up for the teaching and fell in love with the learning. I was promoted after my

5th year of teaching and became an Instructional Coach. I later graduated from Concordia

University in 2015 with a degree in Educational Leadership. I was an assistant principal for 6

years in EPISD. I have been very fortunate to be a part of the Northeast community for 11 of

my 22 years of experience in education. I have also served as a Religious Formation Teacher

for the past 18 years at Corpus Christi, St. Mark’s and here, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic

Church.

I may not know all of you, but I already feel a great deal of love for my team. I have been

praying for all of you for some time now and am ready to continue with the hard work,

commitment and efforts of your beautiful team. We will continue to provide the positive,

challenging and student-friendly learning environment that Crusaders pride themselves in. I

commit to serving our Crusaders and their families to achieve not only academic success, by

becoming life-long learners, but also to become the hearts and souls of their community and to

continue to exemplify and represent the values you have taught them and the lessons learned

as contributing members of the Most Holy Trinity community, today, and where ever God will

lead them.

Es un gran honor para mí ser nombrado su directora asistente. He servido a su

comunidad y he escuchado cosas maravillosas sobre nuestra escuela y espero

conocerlos y crecer con todos ustedes. Asistí a la Primaria Pasodale cuando era niño,

luego me gradué de la Escuela Secundaria Ysleta en 1992. Me gradué de UTEP y

obtuve mi licenciatura en 2002. Me gusta decir que me inscribí en la enseñanza y me

enamoré del aprendizaje . En mi quinto año de enseñanza me ascendieron para

convertirme en Entrenador de Instrucción y luego me gradué de la Universidad de

Concordia con una licenciatura en Liderazgo Educativo. Fui subdirectora durante 6

años en EPISD. He sido muy afortunada de ser parte de la comunidad del Noreste

durante 11 de mis 22 años de experiencia en mi carrera educativa. También me he

desempeñado como maestra de formación religiosa durante los últimos 19 años en

Corpus Christi, St. Mark's y aquí, en la Iglesia Católica Most Holy Trinity.

Aunque hoy, no conozca a todos, ya siento un gran amor por mi equipo. He estado

orando por todos ustedes desde hace algún tiempo y estoy listo para continuar con el

arduo trabajo, compromiso y esfuerzos de su hermoso equipo. Continuaremos

brindando el ambiente de aprendizaje positivo, desafiante y amigable para los

estudiantes del que se enorgullecen los Crusaders. Me comprometo a servir a nuestros

Crusaders y sus familias para lograr no solo el éxito académico, convirtiéndose en

aprendices de por vida, sino también para convertirse en los corazones, y las almas de

su comunidad y continuar ejemplificando y representando estos valores y lecciones

aprendidas como miembros contribuyentes de la comunidad de la Santísima Trinidad,

hoy y dondequiera que Dios los guíe.

Changes for 2024–2025 / Haremos algunos cambios en 2024-2025

We will be making some changes in 2024- 2025:

Uniform polos, spirit shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies must have the new logo that was introduced this school year. The old logo will no longer be accepted.
The parent portal will be open next year. This will allow you to check grades at your convenience.
We will be emphasizing more reading this coming year, especially in middle school. We want our graduates to be well read as they head into high school.
We are working on improving attendance this coming year. Better attendance will lead to better student achievement
We are forming an athletic department support our athletic teams. Ms. Angel Clark is organizing us. The goal is to increase funding for athletics to provide better uniforms and equipment for our children when they compete against other schools. A total of $1,085 has already been raised.
We have formed a wellness committee to promote healthy food choices and exercise. A wellness policy is in place. Each year we will conduct a review of the policy to ensure that we are doing our best to help our children learn about healthy lifestyles. You will be invited to participate in this review.
We will offer free breakfast and lunch to all students, regardless of income, will be able to eat free at school this year. We hope you take advantage of this new, free service!

We hope you will work with us and support us as we work together to help your children become the people God is calling them to be.

Haremos algunos cambios en 2024-2025:

Las polos, camisas y sudaderas con capucha de los uniformes deben tener el nuevo logotipo que se introdujo este año escolar. Ya no se aceptará el antiguo logotipo.
El portal para padres estará abierto el próximo año. Esto le permitirá verificar las calificaciones cuando lo desee.
Haremos más hincapié en la lectura el próximo año, especialmente en la escuela secundaria. Queremos que nuestros graduados tengan una buena lectura al ingresar a la escuela secundaria.

Estamos formando un departamento deportivo que apoye a nuestros equipos deportivos. La Sra. Angel Clark nos está organizando. Meet the Teacher Night is this Friday evening at 5:30 PM. Here are a few tips to help make this evening a good one for you and your children:

· Please Be Punctual

· Introduce Yourself

· Feel free to ask questions

· Stay Positive and Supportive

· Respect Time Limits

· Ask About Communication

· Watch out for new families

· You may bring in school supplies this evening

o Please don’t bring all supplies for the year. Bring enough for your children to begin the year; keep the rest at home to “restock”.

o Please bring all the copy paper and be sure your teacher knows that you brought it. We will collect it and stock in our supply room.

· Sign up for

o Athletics- Grades 4-8

o Cub Scouts- Grades 1-4

o Choir- Grades 4-8

o Altar Serving- Grades 4-8 (must have first communion)

August Events / Eventos de Agosto

August 2024

Dear Parents,

Welcome back everyone, We hope you enjoyed your summer vacation, and a special welcome to all of our new families.

I have attached our monthly calendar for August 2024 to this letter. Here is a brief description of events:

Teacher Inservice will be July 31-August 6.
The Office will be closed Thursday August 1st from 8 AM - Noon to allow for staff Inservice.

Meet the Teacher Night will be Friday, August 2nd at 5:30 PM. Please come by and meet your child's teachers. You may also bring school supplies at this time. We will offer a hot dog combo consisting of a hot dog, chips and a drink for $5 each during the event. This will be for take home only.

School will begin Wednesday, August 7th. We will have Back to School Welcoming followed by opening prayer at 8:00 AM in our gym.
Registration for Crusader Athletics begins August 8th. Football grades 6-8, Volleyball grades 4-8; Cheerleading Grades 1-8. There are no fees for these sports. Students will need a physical to participate. A physical form is attached at the bottom of this newsletter.
Room Parents will meet Wednesday, August 14th, at 6 PM
The Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption will be Thursday, August 15th. This will be a holy day of obligation. Our students will attend mass at 8:15 AM. Dress uniform is required.
Bake Sale: our 7th and 8th grade students will host a bake sale after all masses the weekend of August 17th and 18th. We are trying to raise $400 each for Mr. Moreno and Mrs. Rankin to be used for classroom supplies and materials. Those who donate baked goods will receive volunteer hours for their donations. Those who help sell will receive volunteer hours for the time spent selling.
School Board will meet Wednesday, August 21st at 6:30 PM
Most Holy Trinity Night at Marco's Pizza and Tropical Smoothie on Woodrow Bean Trans Mountain Rd, Thursday, August 22nd form 4-8 PM. Most Holy Trinity Athletics will receive 20% of all sales when our school is mentioned.
8th Grade Parents will meet Wednesday, August 28th at 6:00 PM.
Our back to school dance will be Thursday, August 29th in the afternoon.

Estimados padres,

Bienvenidos a todos. Esperamos que hayan disfrutado de sus vacaciones de verano y una bienvenida especial a todas nuestras nuevas familias.

Adjunto a esta carta nuestro calendario mensual para agosto de 2024. Aquí hay una breve descripción de los eventos:

Las prácticas para maestros serán del 31 de julio al 6 de agosto.

Building Update

We have completed the following projects this summer:

El Paso Electric has installed new transformers to provide electricity for HVAC for the library and Father Tom Hall.
The back fence repair is complete. City Fence has donated the cost of the project.
We have repainted shelves and doors in all classrooms in the second wing.

Hemos completado los siguientes proyectos este verano:

Hemos comprado muebles nuevos para el salón de clases, incluidos escritorios y mesas, para jardín de infantes, segundo grado, sexto grado, biblioteca y laboratorio de computación.
