Coyote Connection
October 13, 2023
Happy Friday, Twin Oaks Families!
We hope this message finds you well and ready for a fantastic weekend.
We understand that many classrooms are not quite finished with Parent/Caregiver-Conferences but we wanted to take a moment to extend a heartfelt **thank you** to our incredible community for attending and actively participating in these important discussions about your coyote's progress this year.
Your involvement and dedication as parents and caregivers play a tremendous role in your child's education. Your presence at these conferences provides our students with the motivation and support they need to thrive this school year. Thank you for being such valuable partners in their learning journey.
As the weekend starts, we wish you and your families wonderful times together. We also want to remind you about two special events happening next week:
Please join us next Friday morning for a fun-filled "Family Friday" event. It's a great opportunity to connect with your coyote, read together and share in the joy of our school community. Please share any school questions you may have here.
Our first Coffee with the Principal will follow promptly after Family Friday. This meeting is a chance to engage in meaningful conversations, share your thoughts, and get to know our school leadership vision better.
We're looking forward to seeing you there! Have a fantastic weekend, and we hope to see you next week at these exciting events.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Barragan-Su
Sheriff’s Office Tips: Talk to your students about situational awareness
With the new school year under way and many students walking or biking to school, and with Halloween around the corner, we wanted to remind you of the importance of situational awareness with some tips from our partners at the Sheriff's Office:
Always be alert to your surroundings and the people around you.
Do not be distracted by smartphones or electronic devices.
Go with a group; avoid walking or biking alone.
Don’t respond to conversation from strangers on the street; keep walking.
Keep these tips in mind in October, and all year long! Let’s stay safe, San Marcos!
