A Note from Dr. Alex Cherniss
Before Spring Recess
Dear PYLUSD Community,
I wanted to send you a quick note before spring recess here in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD), which will take place April 1-5, 2024.
As an educator for 25 years now, I have always particularly enjoyed spring recess and the quick break it offers amidst the school year. It is no secret that this year has been a busy and productive one, marked by outstanding academic achievements, remarkable athletic and artistic endeavors, and extracurricular activities galore. The commitment and hard work of our students and staff have truly made a difference in shaping our collective success.
Spring recess will now allow us time to rest and prepare for the last stretch of the school year, which includes a schedule teeming with last-minute learning, festive activities, final performances, championship competitions, and student and staff celebrations. With that being said, I encourage each of you to enjoy this well-deserved break to rejuvenate and spend quality moments with your loved ones. Following spring recess, the next stop will be our promotion and graduation ceremonies, and then summer break!
Thank you once again for your continued support and collaboration as we all work together to Put Kids First. Together, we have achieved great things this year, and I am confident that we will continue to strive for excellence in the final days of our school year.
