Lee's Summit R-7 school district German students stayed with sixteen host families! This summer our students will have the opportunity to visit Germany for a similar experience. Book of the Month

Our new book of the month will be, The Fort. Students interested in reading the Book of the Month should stop by the library to sign up and check out a copy.

All who participate will be invited to the Discussion with Donuts (including a gluten free option) with Mrs. Brown, the school librarian, and any other staff who participate.

Discussion with Donuts will be held Wednesday, December 4th during TRAIL Time.

RECOGNITIONS & CELEBRATIONS

All-District Orchestra

On Saturday, November 2nd, students from across the KC metro area auditioned to be a part of the middle school All-District Orchestra. East Trails had seven students selected! Malia Metzen (8th Grade, Violin), Jarell Gatlin (7th Grade, Violin) and Caroline Abraham (8th Grade, Violin) were selected for the All-District Orchestra. Owen Vopat (8th Grade, Violin) , Grace Enciso (8th Grade, Violin), Grant Diehl (8th Grade, Viola) and Olivia Schelp (8th Grade, Cello) were selected for the All-District Honorable Mention Orchestra. Congratulations to all!

6th Grade World Geography

6th graders work weekly on analyzing & summarizing the world news, while watching CNN10 (kid-friendly news episodes).

Winter Sports Assembly

Winter Sports kicked off with a Pep Assembly as the ETMS Cheer Team led the students and staff with school spirit cheers. The Winter Sports teams (Girls Basketball, Wrestling, and Boys Basketball) were recognized for their upcoming season. There was also a surprise visit from Santa and entertainment with a teacher/cheerleader dance-off. Let this Winter Sports season be filled with good sportsmanship and unstoppable team spirit. Go BISON!

Washington, D.C. Trip Scholarship

7th and 8th Grade Families,

If you’re interested in some financial assistance affording the cost of our summer trip to Washington, D.C., make sure you look into this scholarship opportunity provided by our travel partner. The deadline is quickly approaching for the EF Explorer Scholarship.
