Smiler News
This Week at Pineville Elementary
Message from Mr. French
Good Morning Smiler Families,
We had another great week at Pineville. Welcoming new students during Beginner's Day is always a favorite event. It was great to see so many new Smilers. If you know of families that are new to the area and trying to make the decision to come to Pineville, please have them reach out to me. I am happy to set up a tour.
It is really important to us to get families registered for school as early as possible. The district and state use the data from registrations to determine how many teachers we will have for the 24-25 school year. If we want to keep class sizes low and make sure we have ample special area classes, this is the most important thing we can do.
This week, we have Muffins with Moms and a PTA meeting on Friday, May 3rd. It is important that you RSVP for Muffins with Moms. We want to make sure we have enough food and seating for everyone to enjoy the experience.
We do not expect all families to stay for the PTA meeting, but would love for anyone to attend that can. If you are interested in serving on the board, please email me.
Also, on May 15th, we will have our Smiler Night at the Public Library. This is a fun new event that we hope will be well attended. We love our partnership with the library and want to continue to build relationships during this event. This is also a time that new families can register their child for the 24-25 school year.
As always if you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
Enjoy the weekend!

Proctors-Please Help
We are in desperate NEED of proctors for our End of Grade testing. Anyone over the age of 18 who is not a CMS student can serve as a proctor. Proctors serve an important role during testing as additional monitors who will help ensure testing occurs fairly and uniformly for all students. Proctors will need to be at the school from 7:30 am to 11:30 am on the day that they volunteer. Every proctor will need to attend a 15-minute training when they arrive at the school. Additional information about proctoring will be sent to you in May after you sign up. If you have the time to serve as a proctor on Friday, May 24th, Wednesday, May 29th, and/or Thursday, May 30th please sign up using the QR code below.
Thank you in advance for supporting our school.
