Biology Research Workshop Opportunity Available
On November 16th from 12 pm - 2:30 pm EST (9 am - 11:30 am PST), miRcore will be holding a biology workshop aimed at students in grades 4 - 9! Students will learn about the amazing world of computational biology and use analytical tools and software to gain hands-on research experience as they explore genes related to cancer. A detailed schedule and more information is available here: 2024 Biology Workshop โ miRcore.
miRcore is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which gives high school students an opportunity to learn about genetics and computational biology while conducting their own research. Iโve connected with peers across the country through this organization and have had a lot of fun learning more about biology!
No prior knowledge is needed to attend this workshop! Students will have the chance to conduct research alongside other students who are passionate about biology in small groups with designated research mentors from the University of Michigan.
