Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program
It's time again to consider applying to the Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program. If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and will have at least 4 semesters left at the University of Arizona after the current spring semester, are interested in pursuing research and aspire to a graduate degree in a biomedical field, then you certainly should apply. The benefits and opportunities are MANY and there is NO prior research experience required. More information about the MARC Program and eligibility can be found HERE.
The simple application and more information can be found here: 2025 MARC Program Application. Please note the application is combined with other programs within the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Consortium (UROC), so you will have an opportunity to apply to several programs in one process. Be sure to select “Maximizing Access to Research Careers” (MARC) to ensure that your application is automatically forwarded to our office.
The financial benefits are:
- paid partial or full tuition
- paid health insurance (if needed)
- funds to travel to science meetings
- approximately $1,200 per month in stipend
The application deadline is Saturday, February 1st.
If you'd like to discuss the possibilities or have ANY questions, please contact me via email at cjneal@arizona.edu. I'd be very happy to answer your questions or set up a time to talk with you.
