Hopewell's Happenings
COMMUNICATION FOR THE HES COMMUNITY
February 2024
Thank You
We perservered through January with delayed openings, snowy/icy conditions, and e-learning. Despite the disruptions, both students and staff were still able to engage in numerous activities and learning experiences throughout the month, including some enjoyable sledding, as seen in the photos below.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated music teachers, Ms. Mills, Ms. LeMaire, and Ms. Dauer, for their efforts in preparing and organizing our spectacular winter concert. We also extend our sincere gratitude to the parents for ensuring their children practiced diligently and were well-prepared for this memorable event. The students showcased exceptional talent, and the concert was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Please take a moment to browse through the photos below.
The preschoolers embarked on a mission last month to spread warmth and joy to local families, and they succeeded. With the support of our dedicated staff and the community, they managed to collect 29 pairs of gloves and mittens, 33 scarves, 64 hats, and 5 pairs of socks for The Chubby's Project. During the Whole School Meeting, we were fortunate enough to host the director of The Chubby's Project, John Haney, who spoke and graciously accepted the collection. Please find photos below from our Whole School Meeting.

Elementary Math Resources
Counselor Corner
Thank you for supporting your child(ren)’s pursuit of Perseverance last month. We loved seeing students set and already reach some of their goals! As we wait for the groundhog to let us know if we will have 6 weeks more of winter, our Character Strong focus shifts to the trait of Honesty. Take part in this family challenge below to complement our school-wide practice.
We also thank those students and special people who attended our first Hopewell Hooray Recognition Program. The Hopewell Hooray Recognition Program acknowledges students and staff who embody our L.E.A.P. core values of leadership, empathy, acceptance and perseverance through acts of service to our school. This is an ongoing recognition program that we hope reaches every student in the school, so ask and encourage your student to write one for another student that they see engage in an act of kindness!
As always, please reach out if you need any assistance via phone at 609-737-4007 x7206 or email at ashleylarose@hvrsd.org.
Lost and Found - Continues to Grow
