Branagan's Bulletin
Week of June 10 - 14, 2024
Welcome Back!
Hello MHS,
I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for a great week of Sachem Pride ahead!
Our school has so much to be proud of this week. Our Speech and Theater Workshop lit up the stage while keeping the tradition of bringing That's Entertainment 45 - "A Night at the Theatre" to the stage with their annual performance. The show was awesome. The MHS Stage was packed with energy and talent. So proud of the entire cast and crew.
We are in the home stretch of the academic year and summer is now in view. As the release of the Bulletin for this week...we have only FIVE DAYS of school left. The start of our well-deserved break is in sight and we need to be sure that we all FinishSTRONG. I hope each of you will ensure that your assignments are completed and given to your teachers. I hope each of you will dig deep to complete work that perhaps you have not completed. I hope each of you will stay after school and receive some extra help if needed in preparation for any final exams, projects, activities that you may have in your classes. I hope each of you will make a commitment to FinishSTRONG!
This edition of Branagan's Bulletin will mark the final one for the 2023 - 2024 School Year. There is so much to be proud of as we look back on a pretty amazing year. There are many unique challenges this year and there were moments when you wanted to pack it up and call it quits. However, you dug deep and persevered through those challenges to reach the finish line.
Through each challenge that this school year presented, there were so many moments of celebration, accomplishment and great memories. These are the moments that we reflect upon that know that all of you are finishing strong. Each of you have added to the celebration of the school year. Each of you have contributed to our collective story of what it truly means to be a Sachem. Each of you should pause and reflect on this past year with such pride in knowing that you did it.
As we close this week....I wish you all a wonderful summer of celebration, great memories and most importantly...time to unplug from the world and just be with your family and friends. I wish you all the best as you charge your engine for another great year ahead. I am excited to see you all on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 as we begin another school year. Until then...enjoy the very best of the summer.
It has been a true honor and privilege to serve you this year as your principal. Thank you for all you have done to make this school year so special.
Can't wait to see you!
Bran

During the week-long session, our main goals are to assist your student with the following: writing their college essay, revising the essay, filling out the Common Application, and setting up SCOIR accounts for teacher recommendations. The Common Application essay will be the main focus, and students should be prepared to write multiple drafts. Students will receive feedback from a teacher and will meet with the teacher one-on-one to discuss their essay. Additionally, students will have access to college essay and application resources through Google Classroom, and these materials will be posted the week before Boot Camp begins for your review.
