Next week is National School Counseling Week. We are incredibly blessed to have Dr. Morgan and Mrs. Hernandez serving and supporting our students. Their dedication to fostering a safe and supportive environment for all children is invaluable. They help guide students through academic, social, and emotional challenges, making a positive impact on their development and well-being. Let’s take the time to show them love and appreciation for all they do to nurture our children’s growth and well-being. A simple note, thoughtful gesture, or kind word can mean so much to these amazing counselors.

Lastly, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generosity during our Stock the Lounge drive. Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on our teachers and staff, and we are truly grateful for your kindness. Con tantas cosas sucediendo, gracias por tomarse un momento para leer nuestro News from the Nest. Mantenerse conectados ayuda a asegurar que estén informados sobre eventos importantes, actualizaciones y formas de apoyar el proceso de aprendizaje de sus hijos.

La próxima semana es la Semana Nacional de los Consejeros Escolares. Tenemos la gran bendición de contar con la Dra. Morgan y la Sra. Hernández, quienes sirven y apoyan a nuestros estudiantes. Su dedicación para fomentar un entorno seguro y de apoyo para todos los niños es invaluable. Ayudan a guiar a los estudiantes a través de desafíos sociales y emocionales, generando un impacto positivo en su desarrollo y bienestar. Tomemos el tiempo para mostrarles amor y agradecimiento por todo lo que hacen para nutrir el crecimiento y bienestar de nuestros niños. Una simple nota, un gesto considerado o una palabra amable puede significar mucho para estas increíbles consejeras.

Por último, queremos expresar nuestro más sincero agradecimiento por su generosidad durante nuestra colecta Stock the Lounge. National School Counseling Week 2025, "School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive," is celebrated February 3-7, 2025, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems.

We're right in the thick of flu and RSV season along with numerous other "winter illnesses," which is very normal for this time of year. Please keep in mind our return to school policy.

Children must be fever-free for 24 hours WITHOUT the use of medications before they can return to school. Even if you think they don't have a fever because they don't "feel warm," they must be out until they are fever-free without medication. Tylenol or Motrin given for body aches, sore throats, or headaches will reduce fever. Kids are very good at rebounding and seeming like they are ok, but in fact their little bodies are still fighting illness.

Please help us in keeping our Cardinals safe and healthy this season by following our return to school policy.

Estamos en plena temporada de gripe, RSV y muchas otras "enfermedades invernales," algo muy normal en esta época del año. Por favor, tengan en cuenta nuestra política de regreso a clases:

Los niños deben estar sin fiebre durante 24 horas SIN el uso de medicamentos antes de regresar a la escuela. Aunque parezca que no tienen fiebre porque "no se sienten calientes," deben permanecer en casa hasta cumplir con este requisito. Medicamentos como Tylenol o Motrin para dolores corporales, de garganta o de cabeza también reducen la fiebre.

These classes were treated to a delicious nacho party as a reward for their dedication and commitment to showing up every day. Great job, everyone! Next month’s incentive is a Slime Party! Let’s keep up the amazing attendance streak!

We’ve had several students absent recently, and we want to kindly remind parents to send a note when their child returns to school after an absence. This helps us keep attendance accurate and up to date. We appreciate your cooperation! Thank you!
