ABLAZE

October is one of my favorite months because it gets cooler (at least cooler than July), fall activities are in full swing, and there are many different colors. And for all of us, it's a reminder for us to FALL in love with Christ everyday.

"No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us." (1 John 4:12)

Let's surrender to His love as we fall into His arms of love, protection, guidance, and will.

Connection Hour is still in full swing! We meet on Sundays in the Youth Room from 9:30-10:30 am and are talking about the book of Revelation (It's taking a long time!).

What the morning looks like:

9:15-9:30 Youth arrive and they can eat snacks

9:30-9:35 Announcements

9:35-9:50 Jr. high go down to the gym to do a game and Sr. high do highs and lows

9:50-10:00 Jr. high and sr. high get settled into the youth room for the lesson

10:00-10:15 Jr. high goes downstairs to discuss while Sr. high stay in the youth room to discuss.

This change has been different and somewhat difficult but is better for flow of the hour, deeper lesson time, and more meaningful conversations and relationships with youth and volunteers.

ABLAZE Wednesday nights are still happening and we have some fun things planned ahead! These nights are from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the youth room with food, fellowship, games, a message, and small group time.

October 9th: Worship Night

October 16th: Guest Speaker

October 23rd: Hay Ride

October 30th: No ABLAZE

If you'd like to provide a dinner, we are open to have your family provide dinner for us!

Welcome to the Youth Gathering of 2025. This will be for all current 8th graders-12th graders and it's going to be AWESOME!

If you don't know what the Youth Gathering is, it's an LCMS gathering of all high school students that includes mass gatherings for worship, games, speakers, and opportunities to serve. They happen every three years and it's a BLAST!

Where: New Orleans, LA (around 8 hours of driving)

When: July 18th-24th (includes travel days for us)

How much: $250 deposit by October 18th!!! ($450 registration fee that could change depending on hotel and how much we fundraise).

It's that time of year for our annual Hay Ride!

When: October 23rd

Where: Meet and get picked up at Zion Gym, we will travel to the Knippa property right next to Zion

What: Hay Ride, games, s'mores, fellowship Come join the fun and have a blast with friends!
