BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING - THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19TH
The next Board of Education Meeting will be today, Thursday December 19th at 7:00 p.m. Board meetings will continue to be streamed live and can be accessed on the website prior to the start of the meeting at www.sbschools.org.
We welcome and invite anyone who would like to make a public comment at any of our Board of Education meetings to please attend the in-person meeting. Although not required, the Board requests that residents who are interested in speaking at a Board meeting register with the Board Secretary's office prior to the meeting by calling (732) 297-7800, extension 3110 or by emailing marcia.garitano@sbschools.org. Residents will be heard during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment.
At this meeting the Concert Choir will perform, followed by recognitions of our Music Department Honors. There will also be presentations of the School Safety Report for Reporting Period (January-June 2024) and HIB Self-Assessment Report for 2023-2024.
Please join us in thanking Barry Nathanson for all his years on the Board of Education and for all the heart and soul he has given to the South Brunswick School District. He has been on the Board of Education since 2002 and has provided a wealth of knowledge to the Board. He will truly be missed!
HOLIDAY POP-UP SHOP AT TONIGHT'S BOE MEETING
We are happy to share that our Transition Training Center will be hosting a Holiday Pop-Up Shop at tonight's BOE Meeting beginning at 6:30 pm at Crossroads North, prior to the Board of Education Meeting.
At the TTC, we work with students who have graduated high school and returned to further develop job skills in preparation for life after South Brunswick School District.
One of the standout aspects of our program is our pop-up shops. Here, our students sell handmade items they've crafted, gaining valuable job-readiness experience and taking pride in their creations. All profits go directly back into the program to fund lessons and activities that benefit the students.
Please note, this is a cash-only event.
