Millswood Announcements
Solar Eclipse
The solar eclipse did not disappoint! All 850 of us put on our solar viewing glasses and headed out to witness the event for ourselves! The next solar eclipse isn't until 2044. I wonder if some of our students will recall this outing in 20 years....maybe some will still have their glasses!
Huddle!
On Monday, students are invited to join Mr. Leach and Mr. Caya for our weekly Christian Club meeting, but this week will be anything but typical. Our students will get to meet the Chaplain of the SF 49ers and Golden State Warriors, Mr. Earl Smith. This will take place Monday during both lunches in the library. Students will eat lunch and then be dismissed to join, no special invitation needed, just go!
Testing!
In two weeks students will be taking the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress Test, otherwise known as the CAASPP test.
All Millswood students will be assessed on English Language Arts and Math. Eighth grade students will also take the California Science Test.
Students will follow a modified schedule and will be dismissed at 1:28 on the following dates: 4/29, 4/30, 5/1, 5/6, 5/7 & 5/9.

CAASPP Reminder
Dear Lodi USD Parent/Guardians,
Every year, California students take several statewide tests. When combined with other measures such as grades, class work, and teacher observations, these tests give families and teachers a more complete picture of their child’s learning. You can use the results to identify where your child is doing well and where they might need more support.
Your child may be taking one or more of the following:
- California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
- English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
To see the full information on the above assessments, please visit our Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (ARE) Department website.
