All-VA Chorus Results
The 2025 All-Virginia Middle School Honor Choir has been determined after a record 1,364 submissions from 131 teachers.
TWENTY of the Harmony singers submitted auditions and over half were selected or are alternates. We are very proud of EVERY SINGER who participated in this process. Just preparing for the audition and submitting your best recording is a GROWTH EXPERIENCE and we are very proud of all of you! Selected students and alternates are listed below. CONGRATULATIONS!

Summer in the Arts
Get ready for an exciting opportunity for rising sixth through 10th-grade students to explore their creativity this summer! Loudoun County Public Schools’ Summer in the Arts program is just around the corner, offering engaging classes in instrumental and vocal music, theater, visual arts, dance, creative writing and robotics.

Climate News
Battle of the Bands - WINNERS
Congratulations to The Citizenz, the Harmony Middle School rock band as they were awarded the Audience Favorite Prize at the Potomac Falls High School Battle of the Bands this past Saturday! They did a great job in performance and quickly won over the crowd getting folks out of their seats and up to the stage!
The members of The Citizens are Connor Malone, Luke Billingsly, Rydar McCarron, Oscar Knicely, Gavin Graham, and Cooper Wood.
Ski Montana
6th Grader, Miles Diffenderfer, is heading to Montana for a ski race and training. Attached is a pic of two weeks ago where he won both classes of Giant Slalom (GS) and Slalom.

Family Arts Night (March 19)
Next month is Youth Art Month! Save the date for Family Arts Night on March 19 from 6-8 PM.
In preparation for our annual art show, the Art Department is looking for parent volunteers to help during the school day the last week of February with mounting and displaying student artwork throughout the school building. We will be showcasing hundreds of artworks in celebration of Youth Art Month. Please see the attached link to volunteer with the art show display:

Parents, if you are an artist and are interested in participating as a guest artist at our event on March 19, please respond to this email for more information. Volunteers will also be needed at Family Arts Night; a Signup Genius will be emailed out closer to the date.
8th Grade Name Game
The amazing 8th Grade team has successfully named every student in the grade with 100% accuracy! Congratulations, Jeff Jacobson, Christy Pierson, Stephanie Buckley, Kristen Hepner, and Bryan Pecoraro.
They now join the 100% at 6th grade and await the results of 7th Grade.
Spring Pictures Are Coming Soon!
This year's spring pictures are scheduled for Friday, March 7th. For spring pictures, only those students who intend to purchase pictures will leave class to have their picture taken. Those students not purchasing pictures will not need to visit the photographer.
Order forms will be sent home on Monday and Tuesday next week, through P.E. classes, for you to select which package you would like. Students can bring their order forms with them on picture day, or you can pre-order pictures at mylifetouch.com with your picture day ID: EVTGC9TPQ.

Just for Fun
Some adults are sharing two slang expressions that a few kids are using. Turns out they are very positive ones.
1. "Lit" - This means something good. An example might be, "That show was lit."
2. "Bussin" - This is another good thing and usually used when talking about food. A sample is, "Pizza dinner is going to be bussin tonight."
Harmony Hockey Team
Update of our hockey team: Good luck to the local hockey team (with many Harmony students). They play at ION in Leesburg tonight. Current record is 2 - 3 - 1 and remaining games are:
