Monday: Labor Day - No School

Tuesday: Regular 8 Period Day: Claws Out Cafe Opens during break; JV Football vs. HB; V/JV Volleyball @ Plainview

Wednesday: Odd Block Day - Yearbook Distribution during Panther Period. Your Panther Period teacher will give those yearbooks out. FCCLA Meeting in PE gym during Panther.

Thursday: Even Block Day - FCA meets at 7:15 in LC! Herff Jones will meet with any student interested in ordering a Letterman jacket during Panther Period; Herff Jones will return on Wednesday, Sept. 11 to collect those orders. More information will be sent out. Yearbook Distribution during Panther Period. Your Panther Period teacher will give those yearbooks out. V/JV Volleyball @ GCHS; Southside Football @ Lee Huntsville - 7:00 kickoff! *No Pep Rally this week.

Friday: Regular 8 Period Day: Our football team, band, and cheerleaders will have a late arrival of 10:00 due to the travel to Lee of Huntsville and getting back so late. If you are a student planning to travel to the game, please see an administrator at the game for your late arrival excuse. WE STILL NEED EVERYONE ELSE AT SCHOOL AT REGULAR TIME!! Please remember your final exam exemptions.

All students that are tardy, checking-in to school or checking out of school MUST GO THROUGH THE FRONT OFFICE. We have a new finger scan system in place (very similar to the lunchroom finger scan system) where each student will scan in or out with check-in/check-outs and tardies.

A parent, guardian, or someone on your check-out list MUST sign you out of school to checkout. This is the same as always. The student must then go through the office to scan out before leaving. This procedure must be followed.

We do not accept over the phone checkouts. Please do not call the school for a checkout. Someone on the students checkout list must come and sign the student out of school.

Please remember how important attendance at school is! Please don't checkout of school unless absolutely necessary. If you are absent, please turn excuses in to front office.

Students: It's a 4 day school week. Make it a goal to be at school everyday this week and be on time! Please be in your classroom before the tardy bell rings!

Please remember to follow our dress code policy! Remember - Cell phones are not allowed to be out or used in any classroom! Only clear or mesh backpacks allowed in classrooms. Fast food and outside drinks are not allowed in the building! Please throw this away before entering the building.

Students are not allowed to exit the building to go to your car, even if you forgot something you really need! If you need something, you have to go through the office and an admin or SRO will escort you to your vehicle. Disciplinary consequence will apply if you do not follow these procedures!

This will be enforced!
