1st Grade G/T Highlights
Writing
Students in Mrs. White’s first grade class had some spooky fun using adjectives to describe themselves.
Creating
They wrote clues that described them, then we pasted a picture underneath a ghost character.
Presenting
We presented them to the class and students had to guess which ghost belonged to each student.
2nd Grade G/T Highlights
Literature Circle
Students synergize to create a summary puzzle as they wrap up their first chapter book read in their literature circle.
Leader Projects
Students work on self-selected leader projects.
3rd Grade G/T Highlights
Design
Students created an Energy game board.
Creativity
They used seven examples of four different types of energy.
Writing
The boards included written directions to the Energy game.
The Energy board game involves heat, light, mechanical, and sound energy.
4th Grade G/T Highlights
Exploring History
Students in 4th grade classes are working on their Native American projects.
Discovering
These projects are an extension of their learning about the lifestyles and traditions of the Texas Native American Tribes.
Connecting
Students have opportunities to connect with the past when making a corn husk doll.
Artistry
Students used innovative ideas to design balloon floats.
Creative Fun!
Students were able to see their creative designs come to life!
Creative Engineering
Students designed and created their own balloon floats to celebrate the holidays!
Spooky Science
Students had fun exploring with dry ice experiments.
Haunted Fun
Students enjoyed the "smoky cauldron"!
