Attendance Matters
In February our student attendance rate was 93.07%. This is down from 93.92% in February 2024. We know that illnesses have gone through many classrooms. Remember to keep healthy habits and stay home with symptoms of excessive fever (over 100.4), vomiting or diarrhea. Students can come back to school once they are symptom free for 24 hours. Thank you for your support in making school a priority and having your student ready to learn!
Related Arts Feature of the Month: Art
2025 has been off to a busy start in the art room! We started the year off with our amazing visiting artist Mrs. Jeanne to create 2 awesome pieces of art that are up in the halls of Lincoln.
K-5 students wrapped up some fun winter art projects before moving on to Fine Arts Night preparations! This years' Fine Arts Night will feature a theme tying the art and music of the evening together. Our students are all working on their first art projects with our Ocean theme. Fine Arts Night is Tuesday, April 29th.
Donations welcome! We are looking for the following items; 2 liter soda bottles, water bottles, cereal boxes or other light cardboard, cardboard boxes of any size, bottle caps, egg cartons, juice or milk cartons.
4th and 5th grade after school Art Club will be starting up soon. Applications are due by Tuesday and 20 students will be accepted. Students will find out if they were selected by March 6th.
Classroom Spotlight: Kindergarten
Kindergarten had a great February. Our multilingual teacher, Ms. Molina, is a published author and read her book to Mrs. Frye’s students. Students had so much fun playing in the snow. On the 100th day of school the students had a celebration and special snack. Mrs. Herman visited the students with her pet snake. Some students loved it and others were not as excited.

Live to Give:
The Live to Give Mindset teaches students about finding purpose and meaning in life by helping others. It encourages students to make a difference, no matter how small, because even small acts of kindness can have a big impact.
Battle of the Books Competition
On Feb 13th, some 4th and 5th graders and a staff team participated in a live competition for Battle of the books. Congratulations to, The Spicy Chickens, who will be competing in the state competition in a few weeks. They fought hard for the win!
