Trojan Nite tickets are on sale now. They can be purchased at gofan.co and are $5. No passes will be accepted at the gate. All attendees 5 and older need a ticket.

Student Council would like to invite all students to the Haunted Homecoming on Saturday, October 19th from 8 to 11 pm in the AHS Courtyard. Students must be in good standing to purchase tickets and attend the dance.

• Tickets can be purchased at www.myschooldance.com.
• Tickets are $5 per person until 11:45 pm on 10/11. Tickets are $7 per person from 11:45 pm on 10/11 until 11:45 pm on 10/17.
• Tickets are $9 per person from 11:45 pm on 10/17 until 8:30 pm on 10/19. Students from other school are allowed to attend. All approval paper work for guests from other schools is completed through the My School Dance website.

• Tickets will be sold for cash or check on the following Thursdays 9/19, 9/26,/10/3, and 10/10.

The Junior Class is looking for parents to help with Varsity Football concession stands. Please use this sign up to claim a spot - if your student would like to help, they can sign up in their Class of 2026 Google Classroom. Students who work 4 shifts or 2 whole games will receive a free ticket to prom.

Our deadline for immunizations is quickly approaching. If you have received a letter stating your student needs updated immunizations please promptly get these updated. If your student is not compliant by October 17th at the end of the day, they will be excluded from school until the vaccines are updated. Please always use your seat belt. AHS will again be participating in SAFE or Seatbelts are for Everyone. Sometime soon, you may receive cash just for being caught wearing your seatbelt. Throughout the year, you will have four chances to sign pledge cards to enter drawings for $25 Visa gift cards. We will present students with messages and the goal is increasing seat belt usage. Always wear your seat belt, It could save your life; and you might win some $$$ just for wearing a seat belt. Good luck!

Almost nobody makes it through high-school without a parking lot fender bender. It's normal, when it happens, make sure and exchange information right away, or if the other party is not around, report it in the office and SRO Kintzel will assist you.

Andover High School has been selected as one of 18 commended for the KSHSAA Performing Arts School of Excellence award winner. A total of 23 Kansas high schools will receive recognition by the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) for outstanding performing arts programs.

A selection committee was formed from the following associations: Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA), Kansas Speech Communication Association (KSCA) and the Kansas Thespians (Theatre). Leaders from these three associations along with the KSHSAA staff collaborated to discuss numerous high schools that scored exceptionally high in debate, speech, music, and theater during the 2023-24 school year. The committee and the KSHSAA chose one winner, four finalists and 18 commended schools from across our great state. All 23 schools will be recognized with a certificate from the KSHSAA.
