Volunteer Background Check
CTIS Families,
In our continuous efforts to keep all children safe, MISD requires that all volunteers that will be working with students complete a background check. This includes parents volunteering on campus or field trips. In order to chaperone on any field trip, you must submit a background check application and we must receive approval before the field trip.
If possible, please submit your application as soon as possible to allow time for it to be processed and for us to receive your approval. The application process is free to you and only takes about three minutes to complete. Click the button below to complete the application. Just chose the link for Cross Timbers Intermediate.
Please do not hesitate to contact the front office if you have any questions.
Boo Bash Candy Donation Request
Dear CTIS Families,
Our much-anticipated Boo Bash Event is just around the corner on, October 24th, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, and we need your help to make it an extra sweet celebration for our students!
We are asking for candy donations to ensure that this event is packed with treats and fun for everyone. Whether it's bags of your favorite candy, chocolates, or other sweet treat, every little bit helps!
Why Donate?
- Your donations will add a little extra magic to our event.
- You’ll be helping create special memories for our students.
- And, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love spreading a little sweetness?
Candy donations may be dropped off at the front office any day leading up to the event.

NOTICE OF STATE REQUIRED HEALTH SCREENINGS
Screenings will take place during the school day on October 22, 23, 24
Dear Parents/Guardians:
State law requires that all public schools hold annual health screenings for students. We will be screening students throughout the fall semester on all campuses. Students will be screened for Hearing, Vision, and Acanthosis Nigricans (a visual marker that may indicate possible signs of type 2 diabetes) in grade levels PK, KG 1, 3, 5, 7 and all New to District students. Please ensure that your child is wearing his/her eyeglasses/contacts to school daily. Female students in grade levels 5 and 7 and males in grade 8 will be screened for Scoliosis (a curvature of the spine). Boys and girls will be screened separately. If further evaluation by your doctor is needed, parents will be notified in writing. Please note that these screenings do not replace your child’s need for regular health care and check-ups. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Dear Students and Parents,
We've noticed a number of dress code concerns this week, particularly regarding the length of shorts and skirts. As a reminder, shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh, which is where a student's fingertips fall when their arms are at their sides.
Additionally, when wearing leggings or yoga pants, students must pair them with tops that fully cover their bottoms. Tied shirts that expose skin are not permitted.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a positive and respectful school environment!
