Silver Firs Monthly Newsletter
Message from the Assistant Principal
Dear Silver Firs Parents and Guardians,
We hope you were able to relax, reboot, and spend some quality time with family and friends over the Thanksgiving break. As December begins, we have some exciting plans and important information to share with you.
December to Remember Spirit Week
During the week of December 16th, we will have some fun and share family traditions. While participation is optional, we hope you and your child(ren) will consider joining our celebration. Below is the schedule for spirit week:
Monday, December 16th: Winter Wonderland Day
Celebrate winter with snowflakes and icicles— dress in blues, whites, and silvers!
Tuesday, December 17th: Mad About Plaid Day
Wear your favorite plaid/flannel shirt!
Wednesday, December 18th: Cultural Traditions Day
How does your family celebrate this time of year? Wear something that represents a holiday or
tradition from your culture!
Thursday, December 19th: Bright and Merry Day
Wear anything that makes you feel cozy, happy, and merry—sweaters, scarves, and mittens!
Friday, December 20th: Light and Sparkle Day
Wear your festive pajamas and lighted wardrobe (tinsel, glitter, garland, light necklace, etc.)!
November Core Value Student of the Month- Equity
Congratulations to Eli in Mrs. Spencer’s class who was selected as the Silver Firs core value student of the month for November. Great job Eli!
Food Drive a Great Success
The Silver Firs Student Council would like to thank everyone who supported the food drive. We more than doubled our goal of 350 food items! Your generous donations helped us not only reach our goal, but most importantly helped families in our community.
Weather Reminder
As the thermometer drops and the winter storms arrive, please make sure that your child(ren) dresses appropriately for the weather. This is also a good time to check to make sure that student names are written on the tags of coats, hats, mittens, lunch boxes, etc.
Our last day of school prior to winter break is on December 20th with a 1:00 PM dismissal time.
With Gratitude,
Brent Radcliff, Assistant Principal
