People vs Progams
Jim Ned Intermediate PLCs
Let's Get Down to Business!
Objective: To explore, choose and implement effective teaching strategies that enhance student learning outcomes.
End of Year Goal: Create a JNI playlist of instructional strategies
We are setting out to utilize the amazing staff we have along with some awesome strategies already being used on campus to capitalize on two to three strategies that we feel can take us to the next level. We will accomplish this goal together through peer observations, tough conversations, data analysis and a 'whatever it takes' attitude. We owe our students the very best we can give them and each other the support to make that happen.
Monthly Focus
November - What makes an effective strategy?
Think about your tried and true strategies - your old faithfuls! The ones you can't live without. Think about why they are your go-to strategies and how you know they 'work'. We shared out some of our favorties and each narrowed down to the one we couldn't live without.
November Homework
Continue to observe your peers. Your homework is to observe 2 more classrooms. There are no limitations for content or grade level for this round. While observing, take special notice to any specific strategies that are being used in the classroom. Document your visit on the peer observations form below.
October - Sphere of Concern and Sphere of Influence
We discussed what we can control and those things that we can influence. My challenge for you this month is to influence those things you cannot control the outcome of.
