We're baaaaack!
Hey Falcons, welcome back from Spring Break! It's time for the home stretch. We have less than two months left. Let's finish strong!
Monday, we were welcomed back with an eclipse viewing party for the whole school. Each student and team member on campus got their own pair of eclipse viewing shades to safely witness this incredible phenomenon. It was so exciting and beautiful to watch.
This week our 3rd-5th graders too the FAST reading assessment. Based on the initial scores we've received so far, an overwhelming majority of our students have shown significant growth this year. More to come next week when all the scores from the entire school are ready.
Next week our Kindergarteners-2nd graders will be finishing up their FAST assessments as well. The 3rd-5th graders will begin the Math CAASPP state assessments starting on Tuesday. We know they're going to do great! Please make sure your student(s) is well rested each night and ready to show off all they've learned this year.

Student of the Week
This week's Student of the Week is Mia in Mrs. Grosse's 4th grade class. Mia consistently demonstrates the principles of leadership and personal growth in her daily actions, showcasing qualities that inspire and uplift those around her. Her decision-making reflects her outstanding character and leadership potential. Mia has shown what it means to be, “Proactive” by always taking responsibility for her actions and choices. She focuses on making positive change and this shows in the effort she puts into her personal growth. She is a hard worker and is succeeding because in class, she puts her learning first and gives 100 percent of her attention to doing her best. She takes ownership and responsibility over her education by recognizing that growth will happen when she gives it her all. She “Puts first things first,” by prioritizing what to focus and work on. She thinks “Win-Win” while coming up with solutions on how to solve conflicts that occur. Mia shows her kindness and compassion by always knowing when to compromise. She consistently “Seeks First to Understand,” while considering different perspectives or decisions that others make. But, what is most impressive about Mia is her willingness to stay positive, to take ownership of her own growth, and to accept that mistakes happen, Mia knows that what matters most is to learn from them and move forward while continuing to look for ways to grow. Mia goes above and beyond in all that she does with a smile, making her a standout leader in our school. It’s always an honor to work with Mia.Thank you, Mia, for being such an incredible Falcon by exemplifying what it means to be a leader at Fletcher Elementary School!
