Greetings, Parents of 3rd-10th Grade Frontier Students!

Please register your student today for the AK STAR assessment. Both the Eagle River and Anchorage offices have multiple times available for greater convenience!

The AK STAR ELA and mathematics assessments are aligned to the MAP Growth benchmark assessment in a partnership with NWEA and DEED.

LANGUAGE ARTS (3rd - 9th) Monday, March 24, 9am or 1pm Thurs, March 27, 9am or 1pm

MATH (3rd - 9th) Tuesday, March 25, 9am or 1pm Wed, March 26, 9am or 1pm

SCIENCE (5th, 8th, 10th) Tuesday, April 1, 9am or 1pm Wed, April 2, 9am or 1pm

Upcoming Important dates:

Friday, March 7 – Frontier spending deadline.

Purchase your cap and gown this week and create your reimbursement in SALTT. We request that you order a black gown and black cap – Frontier will provide your tassel and the 2025 tassel charm.

Any questions can be answered by reaching out to Josten’s Sales Rep, Scott Brown, at 800-567-8367. Save your Josten’s receipt and remember to submit your receipt for reimbursement by March 7.

Tuesday, April 1 – Please complete and return the attached form, Graduate information _ please return to Advisor.

Let us know how you would like your name to appear on your diploma. Lanore will need to order diplomas in early April.

As you complete the form, please do not be ‘humble’ or ‘shy’. We want to know all about your accomplishments, small and large!

Tuesday, April 1 – Please submit your ‘chosen’ six digital pictures of your graduate to be included in Frontier’s multi-media presentation. See attachment: Frontier Graduation 2025_Important Information

Friday, May 2 – Graduating seniors - grade deadline:

Graduating senior final grades for spring semester courses must be submitted to their advisor or the Frontier office by May 2, 2025. The only exceptions are UAA and/or ASD courses.

From Anchorage clubs to the plains of Egypt - at least with a great accessory 😉

We had such fun studying Egypt during our clubs last week!

Great News! King Tech High School is offering a 3rd session for students in grades 9 through 12. Starting on Monday, March 24, King Tech will be offering several Career and Technical Education courses after school at King Tech High School. The 3rd session will run for 7 weeks, Monday through Thursday, from 4-5:30 pm. Bus transportation will be provided. The courses are worth a .5 elective credit and a letter grade for completing the course. Please see your advisor to register and please visit our website for more details.
