Helpful Reminder

If you are picking your child up from school, please try and do it before 2:00, especially on Fridays. This will help with the traffic we have up at the front office during this time. Also, if you are checking your student out for an appointment or to leave early please let the front office staff know in advance. This will help with getting your student ready to go when you arrive. Thank you!!

Thank you to all our parent volunteers for helping out in our Makerspace room! The kiddos really enjoy the space where they can create, build, and discover. Thanks for all your help!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences are held on October 23rd and 24th. You will schedule your child's conference through PowerSchool. Scheduling is now OPEN. Attached are directions on how to schedule a parent-teacher conference.

There is also an option to sign up for a virtual conference if you prefer. Your child's teacher will send out a Google Meet invite once you schedule your conference. Attached are instructions for Google Meet use as well.

DAV Clothing/Household Items Fundraiser

Bring bags of clothing and boxes of household items and drop off at the school day of! Please reach out to PTA if you need to drop off items prior to event date!! This event is 10:00-12:00 on Saturday, October 19th.

Trunk or Treat

HPE Students come visit the HPE parking lot full of decorated trunks! Dress in Costume and Collect Candy! This event is on Wednesday, October 30th from 6:00-7:00.

Admission: Suggested Donation of 1 bag of Candy for Admission

If you are hosting a trunk, set-up will begin at 5:30! Thank you for considering!

Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th-October 15th. To honor this special month, we have created a wonderful bookcase collection outside the library featuring a variety of books that highlight Hispanic culture, history, and contributions.

Race for the Future

Join us Saturday, October 12 for a morning of fitness, food, fun and fundraising to support LSR7 teachers, students and programs! The top three schools with highest participation will receive grants up to $1,000! We're bringing back the Kids Zone, which will feature booths offering free games, giveaways and activities. HPE School Hours

Student hours will be 7:45-2:45 each day. Doors will open at 7:30 each morning and buses will depart at 2:45 each afternoon. The tardy bell will ring at 7:45. The HPE office will be open 7:15 - 3:15 each day to assist you with any needs you may have.

Lunch Visitors

This year we will welcome back lunch visitors to the building. A few things to keep in mind.

Lunch visitors are welcome Monday-Thursday (not Fridays due to late start).
First semester: No visitors Nov. 25; Nov. 26; or, after Dec. 5.

Late Start Fridays

On Late Start Fridays, school will start one hour late with the school doors opening at 8:30. School buses will also run one hour late when picking up students.

Free and Reduced Lunch Program

Do you know about the Free and Reduced Lunch program? Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to complete the application for free and reduced meals online. This can be completed on a computer, tablet, chrome book or cell phone. Check the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) eligibility guidelines to see if your family qualifies.
