A Message From Principal Bivens
As we are winding down on the 23/24 school year, it is always a good time to reflect on all the wonderful things we have accomplished as a TNES community...
- Mr. Eckelberry was named USD 450 Teacher of the Year, as well as the first ever Regional 2 Finalist from USD 450! He is among 8 state-wide finalist that are competing to be Kansas Teacher of the Year. This announcement will be made this coming September.
- We started our first ever Panther Cub Running Club for students in 2nd-4th grades. This first year of Running Club was a huge success!
- We went on many field trips, including watching the Nutcracker, visiting Old Shawnee Town, and Manhattan Technical School, just to name a few.
- Our 6th Grade Leadership Team continued to grow and develop by helping with many school-wide events, including presenting at the USD 450 Board of Education meeting in March!
- AND...last, but most certainly not least, we were officially named a CERTIFIED AVID ELEMENTARY!
I hope everyone has a safe and FUN summer!
Proudly Serving as YOUR Principal!
-Katie Bivens
