Operational Budgets on Campus:
CTE teachers on each campus received their Operational budget for the year, as well as allotments for programs on Perkins and NextGen grant funding. Teachers will begin determine equipment and materials they will order for their programs and students.
SREB Coaching:
Our partners from the Southern Regional Education Board will continue to work with our CTE teachers to implement best practices in their classrooms. All campuses will participate in a series of learning walks and constructive feedback for continued improvement for all programs.
Middle and High School PLTW (Project Lead the Way) Training:
As part of our STEM initiative at GISD, we will continue to follow PLTW curriculum for our Engineering and Computer Science pathways at the high school level, and STEM career exploration courses at the middle school level. New teachers will participate in the extensive training to ensure fidelity in these courses.
