Raider Aquatics competed at the Regional Swim meet over the weekend and destroyed the competition! Boys were regional champions and the girls were runners-up. Fourteen swimmers are going to state (all 6 relays and 12 individuals).

Regional Champions for individual events:

Kaelyn Gardner, Harper Bryant, Jace Mangrum, Ben Stephens, Felipe Castellon, and Sam Frazer. Additionally, Harper Bryant set a new regional record, while Jace Mangrum broke a school record.

Jace Mangrum, Ben Stephens, Felipe Castellon, Sam Frazer, Harper Bryant, Kaelyn Gardner, Camden Mitschke, Brooke Johnson, Claire Powell, Lexi Stephens, Caleb Young, Payton Johnson, Brandon Dubose, and Ryan Ellsworth.

This marks the largest group of swimmers we’ve ever sent to State!

Coach Holland won Coach of the year for Regional Boys. Congratulations!

On Tuesday, February 4, the Sunnyvale Speech and Debate team competed in the DIstrict 13 AAAA CX Debate Tournament. Our debaters represented Sunnyvale well and finished with the following results:

Lyla Gent and Amit Kumar are district champions and qualifiers to State

TImothy Samuel and Riya Mathew finished in 3rd place and first Alternates to State.

Caitlyn Chandy and Jesslyn Gigi finished in 7th place. Congratulations!

The UIL CX State Tournament is March 21-22 in Austin at the University of Texas.
