Summersill's Meet the Teacher Orientation - August 22

Please make plans to join us on Thursday, August 22 from 12-2 or 5-7 for our orientation. You and your child can stop by our school during any of these times to meet your teacher, drop off school supplies, make transportation arrangements, and much more. Please make sure that you go by the multipurpose room to establish carpool and bus procedures. Then you can visit your child's classroom and be sure to swing by the cafeteria before you leave. In the cafeteria you can find our PTO, before/after school care, lunch applications, financial assistance, Boy Scouts, etc. Covenllies Ice Cream truck will also be onsite for a delicious treat for you to purchase before leaving. We look forward to seeing everyone at orientation!

Kindergarten Academy

Please attend Tuesday, August 13 from 9-10 or

Wenesday, August 14 1-2. Parents stay for a parent session, while students are engaged in activities with our kindergarten team.

Popsicles with PTO

Please join us on Friday, August 16 from 11:30 -12:30 in the courtyard beside the I building. This will be a meet and mingle with parents who volunteer at the school. We want your participation at special events, working in classrooms and chaperoning on field trips. We love to celebrate and show our appreciation to staff.

Please prepare your child for a successful school year by purchasing the needed supplies for their grade level.

School Meals

Breakfast is $1.25

Lunch is $2.50

Want to Keep on Top of Student's Grades and Attendance?

All parents are encouraged to sign up for Parent Portal. You can monitor attendance within the Portal and you can see your child's grades, assignments & due dates for students in grades 3-5. Click this link to sign up: https://onslow.powerschool.com/public/. You can contact the data manager jennifer.fountain@onslow.k12.nc.us to help with this process. She can look up your child's ID number when you email her the completed form and copy of your ID.
