Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach mid-winter break, I want to take a moment to wish you and your family a restful and enjoyable time together. This break offers a wonderful opportunity for students to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with loved ones. However, we also want to emphasize the importance of staying safe during this time away from school.
Here are a few key safety reminders for your child and family:
Weather Safety – With winter weather conditions being unpredictable, please ensure that your child dresses appropriately for the cold, especially if engaging in outdoor activities. Monitor weather forecasts and take necessary precautions.
Internet and Social Media Safety – Many students will spend extra time online during the break. Please remind them to use the internet responsibly, avoid sharing personal information, and report any concerning activity to a trusted adult.
Travel Safety – If you are traveling, whether near or far, ensure that everyone wears seat belts, follows traffic laws, and remains vigilant in unfamiliar surroundings.
Health and Wellness – Encourage good hygiene practices to prevent illness and maintain healthy habits, including getting enough rest, staying active, and making nutritious food choices.
Supervision and Activities – If your child will be home alone or participating in activities outside of school, please arrange for appropriate supervision and encourage safe and constructive engagement.
We appreciate your partnership in ensuring our students remain safe and healthy over the break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on February 24th, refreshed and ready to continue the school year successfully.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school office. Wishing you a safe and enjoyable mid-winter break!
Warm regards,
Scott Kelley

MiSTAR APP
Great news! For your ease and convenience, there is an app that has been created to have quick access to your Parent and Student Connection. In your Google App or Play store, type in “MiStar” and you will have the option to download the “Q ParentConnection” app for yourself and also the “Q StudentConnection” app for your child. I downloaded it and found it to be very easy to use. The convenience of having an app, rather than locating the website and looking up my PIN and password each time was great. I highly recommend downloading if you have a device.
If you get the app, you can select the “Re-Enrollment” in the drop down menu to submit your information that way as well.
