Our Nixa FFA is all about volunteering and making a difference. Over the summer, they helped pack meals for families at the Missouri State Fair. Locally, the students spend time each month at a nursing home playing games and talking with seniors. These are just two examples of the incredible work the kids do to help our community.

If you are new to Nixa (or the area) or you have moved, the last day to register to vote in the November election is Oct. 9.

No school on Monday, September 23, for Staff Positive Learning Communities (PLC) Work Day.

Date & Time: Wednesday, September 25, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

We will be partnering with Alps Pharmacy and offering a Flu and Covid Vaccine Clinic for students, staff, and community members.

Appointment slots are not necessary. This clinic will operate on a first come, first serve basis. Alps accepts most insurances and will file your claim so be sure to bring your insurance information with you. For individuals who are uninsured, we recommend you book an appointment with our local public health department for vaccines at a discounted rate.

Please complete the following Interest Survey, click here. This survey is intended to get a number count so that Alps can be prepared for how many doses to expect to administer. Email reminders and location details will go out closer to the dates of the clinics.

Keep in mind that you are able to obtain a Flu or Covid vaccine at multiple different community locations of your choosing.

📚 Espy students in Kelly Heitzmann's first grade class loved playing 'Roll and Read' using Lego pieces. Once they finish reading a column with a partner, they can quickly make a creation with the six pieces. 🏗️

The Board of Education and district administrators visited the junior high on Tuesday, September 17. 🦅

During their visit, they saw presentations by students who made a shoe 👟 in Tiller's Design and Modeling, were shown student models of theatre 🎭 sets in Elliot's Technical Theatre, toured the renovated greenhouse 🌱, and then observed science and English classrooms in progress. 🔬

🧀 The board and admin wrapped up their visit by viewing the updated staff workroom with snacks prepared by FACS II students. 🍇
