Bulldog Bulletin
April 14, 2024
Dear Bulldog Families-
I hope that you enjoyed your weekend. Our Bulldogs did such an amazing job testing this week. I couldn't be prouder of them and their effort and perseverance. Many students were overhead talking about how they took their time, they thought it was easy because they knew the answers, etc. Fingers crossed we see this growth next year and beyond! Also, Monday was so fun being able to get outdoors and view the eclipse. Students were engaging in activities all day involving the eclipse and our GMS Science Department, in collaboration with Mr. Founds from our D11 Science Department, had telescopes up and around the building for the viewing. Picture above is from Ms. Gross's telescope.
This week should be mostly lowkey, so here are a couple things to elevate:
- Chromebook Chargers: Parents please double check with your student(s) that they have returned their Chromebook and/or chargers. Replacement chargers are $22.00. If you have any questions/concerns please contact our LTE Carol Chapman 328-2224/carol.chapman-stanley@d11.org
- CMAS Testing Week #2: This week our 8th graders will take their science CMAS assessments. Please see schedule below. Our 6th and 7th graders concluded their testing last Friday. If students were absent, tardy or taken out of school early last week, they will engage in makeup testing this week. Please note that they will be pulled from their classes to complete make ups.
- Robotic Summer Camp: I am working to secure funds to send students to the robotic summer camp (see flier below). Once I have more information, I will send a survey link to gage interest. Please keep a look out for more information.
- 8th Grade Continuation: Save the date for Friday, May 24th. Time is TBD. More details forthcoming.
I hope that you have a wonderful week and please reach out if you need anything!
In partnership,
Julia Scott
