Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
We’re in the busy period between Thanksgiving and Winter Break, and here in Loveland City School District, we’re using this time to demonstrate our Core Values of Care, Respect, and Responsibility. Last year, we launched a new celebration - “Grandparents and Great Influences.” We invite grandparents and other important people in the lives of our students for celebrations in every building.
“Grandparents and Great Influences” events are underway throughout December, and they’re pretty special. Grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, coaches, and more have all stepped up to be honored during these events. It’s a great chance for us to recognize the older members of our community and all the other people who invest in our students.
It’s really busy in our buildings - like we’re having company over for the holidays - but it’s great to welcome so many visitors. The hallways are full of energy and big smiles, and we’re creating special memories. Our #beLOVEland spirit is all about the relationships that make our school district special. I’m happy we have an opportunity to share that spirit with so many people during “Grandparents and Great Influences” events.
To all of our guests - thank you for being so important to our students. And thank you to our staff for helping to make these events awesome!

Treasurer’s Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
Utilizing the feedback from both the Community Advisory Team and Finance Town Hall, I am preparing a video series to inform and educate the community on school finance and specific financial items that are affecting Loveland City Schools. Be on the lookout for these in early 2025.
This past month, I focused on preparing and presenting the November Five Year Forecast. This is one of two presentations of the forecast per year, and includes updated inputs for both revenues and expenditures factors that affect the finances of Loveland City Schools. You can find the forecast and accompanying notes HERE and the recorded presentation from the November Board of Education business meeting HERE. As we enter the holiday season, I wish you and yours the best, and look forward to everything that 2025 will bring for Loveland City Schools and our community.
Go Tigers!

Tiger Pathways Spotlight: Tigers 101
Our first Tiger Pathways Spotlight highlights 7th-grade teachers Dale Lawrence, Katie Rose, and Greg Croskey, who teach Tigers 101. In Tigers 101, our 7th-grade students are taking the first steps toward becoming confident, capable leaders—both in school and beyond. This innovative class focuses on College and Career Readiness by helping students explore careers and develop the critical life and soft skills necessary for success in the 21st century.
Recently, Tigers 101 classes hosted Loveland Class of 2012 graduate Mitko Karshovski, who shared his experiences around the world as a Digital Nomad and entrepreneur in the tech industry. He discussed the pros and cons of these experiences and advice about preparing for a career that may not exist yet, just as his career didn’t exist when he sat in Mrs. Rose’s class years ago.

Loveland Giving Back
Pass-It-On Food Drive
Pass-It-On Donation Collections at Prince of Peace
"Rally for the Tally" Soup Donations
Thank you to everyone who contributed to another successful Pass-It-On Food Drive! Loveland City School District has been helping local families in need with Pass-It-On for 23 years. Food donated during Pass-It-On helps support LIFE Food Pantry as they create Thanksgiving and holiday food baskets for 300 local families. Students, families, and staff donate food then assemble and distribute food baskets.
Loveland High School students in our Tigers Inc. program wrapped up a successful food drive for LIFE Food Pantry. “Rally for the Tally” collected canned goods and funds for LIFE, which supports families in Loveland and the surrounding areas. Jarvis Global Investments supported the cause by donating several dozen cases of canned goods. Students organized fundraising events, sold raffle tickets, and got hands-on experience in marketing by promoting the event. Students raised more than $1,200 and collected more than 3000 cans. Thank you to our Tigers Inc. students and everyone who donated!
Honoring Veterans
Loveland City School District celebrated Veterans Day in a new way this year. Typically Veterans Day had been a day off, but we’ve changed our calendar. Now, with students and staff at school Veterans Day events were held across the district. Students wrote letters and cards, invited in guests, and celebrated the service and sacrifice of those who served in the US Armed Forces.
Here’s a quick note we received from one Veteran who was able to attend the assembly at Loveland Intermediate School:
“It means so much to me as a Vietnam veteran who was not welcomed home by some after serving a year in South Vietnam and is now thanked for serving with a "welcome home" message. It brings out such a warm emotion to hear those words. My thanks as well to all of the children who read words, poems, and sang during the ceremony. They were super!
I hope you will continue this very special program in the years ahead so our children/grandchildren and those who follow us will never forget that men and women sacrificed in all wars for OUR freedom and way of life.” -Tom Cleverdon
Thank you to all those who have served.
