Sanborn Spotlight

April 13, 2025
Dear Sanborn Families,
We had a smooth and successful transition back to school following spring break, and it was great to see our students return with energy and excitement. On our first day back, students participated in station rotations to review school expectations, helping everyone reset and refocus for a strong finish to the school year.
We also had an amazing turnout at Bingo Night—thank you to everyone who joined us! The cafeteria was full of students, families, and staff enjoying time together, and many lucky winners walked away with candy prizes and big smiles.
With the nicer weather, field trip season is in full swing! Our 4th graders visited The Grove to learn all about colonial times, 3rd grade students have been making trips to the local library, and this week our 2nd graders will take a walking field trip to Village Hall to learn more about how government works—and even meet The Mayor!
We also recently held Kindergarten Welcome Night and loved meeting some of our incoming kindergarten students and their families. We’re so excited to welcome them to the Sanborn community next school year!
A quick reminder that registration for the 2025–26 school year is now open. We encourage all families to register as soon as possible so we can plan ahead and determine the number of classes we’ll need.
Finally, as you know, our Sanborn Walk-A-Thon is happening this Friday, April 18! There's a lot of excitement in the air as students and families prepare for this fun event. We’re also making great progress with fundraising, which will help support PTA-sponsored activities next school year. See more information below if you're interested in helping us meet our fundraising goal!
Thanks, as always, for your continued support and for being such an important part of the Sanborn community!

Registration for the 25-26 School Year is Open!
If you have any questions regarding registration, please call the school office. The sooner our students are registered, the sooner class sections and lists can be created and finalized!
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now open. We encourage families to start preparing their documents as soon as possible. Learn more about the registration process on our website.
District 15 will be transitioning from Infinite Campus to PowerSchool in 2025-26. Be on the lookout for upcoming emails to create your new PowerSchool Parent Portal account which will be necessary in order to register. Thank you for your timely action as we launch this new system. We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible.
Extra Clothes Needed!
We’re running low on extra clothes in the nurse’s office, especially in smaller sizes. Spills and little accidents happen from time to time, and it really helps to have a change of clothes on hand for students. If you have any gently used or new items—like pants, underwear, or shirts—that your child has outgrown, we’d love the donation to help.
Bright Futures Begin with Attendance!
Did you know? Good attendance is a predictor of future employment success.
Tip: Make school attendance a priority in your household. Keep absences to 9 days or less for a brighter future!
