Documenting the Pandemic
The Derby Public Schools are interested in hearing about how the COVID-19 pandemic changed teaching and learning for our students by completing a brief survey. Your unique perspective of this crisis is invaluable and will help us create a first-person narrative about the way Derby Public School's students responded to a global crisis. By sharing your experiences, together we will provide insight for future generations as to how this life-changing event affected our community. Imagine! Future Derby Red Raiders will one day read about your experience as Derby Public Schools student. The Derby Public Library is collecting similar survey responses from residents 18 years and older which will be archived in the library's history section.
Students in grades 3 and up can access the survey here.
Thank you,
Dery Public Schools
Have a Wonderful Summer
This is certainly the most unique school year of my career. Our students, families, and teachers persevered through something no one could anticipate. I am very proud of everyone and if there was ever a summer that we all deserved a break, this is it.
Not only will I be encouraging all our students to practice their skills over the summer but also to enjoy spending time with family and friends (with proper social distancing).
I wish everyone a wonderful summer break, and more than ever, I hope it is safe and full of great health.
Sincerely,
Mr. Ciccarini
